Base Products

- Extra Virgin Olive Oil - "Extra Virgin" means that the oil is extracted by mechanical presses, rather than by using solvents. Olive Oil is an excellent natural source of Squalane and helps to nourish the skin.

- Extra Virgin Coconut Oil Is considered the healthiest oil on Earth. It creates a rich lather and has excellent moisturizing properties - Great for damaged skin.

- Vegetable Shortening Is used in soaps to soften the soap mixture.

- Beeswax provides a moisture barrier for sensitive skin.

- Aloe Vera Gel is soothing and promotes healing.

- Anise essential oil has a warming, relaxing effect on skin and muscles.

- Calendula essential oil is a recommended trearment for eczema and rosacea.

- Chamomile essential oil is a cooling anti-inflammatory

- Cinnamon essential oil - is useful in fighting exhaustion and feelings of depression and weakness. It has powerful anti-rheumatic properties.

- Citronella essential oil inhibits bacterial, microbial and fungal infection.

-Eucalyptus essential oil has anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-viral and anti-septic properties which are good for skin infections. In addition it helps to eliminate odours.

- Evening Primrose Oil is high in essential fatty acids that condition, protect and nourish thirsty skin. It softens papery, dry skin; removes dead skin cells on the skin's surface; unclogs blackheads; regenerates skin cells and tissue and restores moisture to re-hydrate the skin.

- Jojoba Oil is easily refined to be odorless, colorless and oxidatively stable, and is often used in cosmetics as a moisturizer and as a carrier oil for specialty fragrances.

- Lavender is an anti-septic that helps to control inflammation and soothe the skin. It is claimed to reduce nervous tension, relieve pain, disinfect the skin and enhance blood circulation. In shampoo, it helps with problem scalps.

- Lemon essential oil has anti-septic and anti-bacterial properties which are good for oily skin.

-Orange - has a tranquilizing effect that helps to relieve anxiety. It supports collagen formation in the skin which works well in helping to smooth out skin wrinkles.

- Peppermint essential oil is sometimes regarded as 'the world's oldest medicine', with archaeological evidence placing its use at least as far back as ten thousand years ago. It is good for mental fatigue, depression, relieves skin irritation, itchiness and redness caused by inflammation. In shampoo, this promotes blood flow to the small capillaries which feed hair roots in the scalp

- Pine essential oil is anti-bacterial and very energizing.

- Rosehip Seed Oil is high in Vitamin C. It is reputed to have natural anti-oxidant properties and is mildly astringent. It improves the skin's elasticity, minimizes premature aging and reduces the appearance of wrinkles and scarring. It's great for dry skin!

- Rosemary essential oil has anti-microvial and antiseptic properties that reduce skin problems such as psoriasis, neualgia and eczema. In shampoo, this helps to alleviate dandruff.

-Spearmint - has a cooling efect on nerves and muscles.

- Sweet Almond Oil - is easily absorb ed by the skin, is high in omega 3 and is the most natural skin product.

- Tea Tree essential oil is a powerful immune system stimulant and sorts out most viral, bacterial and fungal infections in a snap, while it is great to clean wounds and also relieves muscle aches and pains.

- Vanilla essential oil has a rich, sweet, vanilla-like odor.

 

Colorants -Are derived from plants such as:

- Spirulina - gives a blue / green color and is rich in Vitamin A

- Tumeric - it gives an anber or gold color. The active ingredient in Tumeric is Curcumin which is known for its anti-inflammatory effect on sun damaged skin.

- Saffron - yellow

- Nutmeg - used to give soaps a brown color.

- Cinnamon - used to give soaps a brown color.

- Cocoa - used to give soaps a brown color.

- Moroccan Red clay - gives a red color and is used for oily skin.

- Paprika - gives a light peach or salmon color.
